After almost two decades of cooperation, Greencarrier has decided to take the partnership with Gothenburg-based organisation Räddningsmissionen to the next level. From January 2024, Greencarrier is now a ‘Future Partner’ (Framtidspartner). The decision to advance the partnership is also a measure to strengthen Greencarrier’s social responsibility.
Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Räddningsmissionen aims to end social exclusion and does so by providing urgent, long-term and preventive help to people who for many different reasons do not have access to basic needs that many of us take for granted. One of the main focuses is helping people in homelessness. Dealing with basic needs such as this comes down to giving people a dignified life.
When an organisation deals with such important issues, it becomes quite easy for us at Greencarrier to give them our support. We have done so, in various forms, for almost two decades. One thing in particular that has been very appreciated amongst our colleagues in Gothenburg, is to work as a volunteer at Räddningsmissionen’s breakfast café. At the breakfast café, thousands of breakfasts are served every year to those who cannot afford it, do not have access to a home where a hot meal is served, or are suffering from different forms of substance abuse which has led to their involuntary exclusion from society. Being able to help these people in their exposed situation is the least we can do as members of our local society.
Now, moving from being a ‘Strategic Partner’ to being a ‘Future Partner’ we are opening up new possibilities to give back to society. Not only are we in a position where we can expand on our options for volunteer work, but also a position where we can do so much more. In our discussions with Räddningsmissionen, we are working under the premise that anything is possible. This makes us very exciting for the year 2024.
For Greencarrier, this becoming a ‘Future Partner’ definitely about taking our social responsibility to the next level. With the broad approach that Räddningsmission has, we will be able to provide our help to our local society in new way. As such, we express our gratitude to Räddningsmissionen. The importance of their work cannot be overstated – thank you!
