Greencarrier AB has acquired a majority stake in Containerhandel CARU AB, a Swedish company specialized in container sales, rental and customized container solutions. The acquisition strengthens Greencarrier’s position in the container solutions segment and broadens its offering within logistics-related services.
Containerhandel CARU AB will continue to operate under its current name. The sellers, CARU Retail Group B.V. in the Netherlands and Torbjörn Börling, will both remain as minority shareholders. Torbjörn Börling will step down as CEO and take on the role of General Manager, while Fredrik Hermansson will assume the role of CEO.
Strengthening the container solutions segment
Containerhandel CARU AB has built a strong position in the Swedish market through long-standing experience in container sales, rental and customized solutions. The company offers both new and used containers, including standard containers, refrigerated containers, sea containers, storage containers and various types of special containers.
The acquisition follows Greencarrier’s investment in Container Norway Utleie AS last year and reflects the group’s continued ambition to strengthen its presence and offering in the container solutions segment.

Continued development under existing name
Containerhandel CARU AB will continue to operate under its current name, ensuring continuity for customers, suppliers and employees. With Torbjörn Börling remaining in the business as General Manager, the company will retain valuable experience and industry knowledge.
