The mission behind the Greencarrier Blue Initiative
Our oceans cover over 70 percent of the planet and are vital to life on Earth, yet they face unprecedented threats from pollution, overfishing, and climate change. Global shipping contributes around 2 percent of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions, while millions of tonnes of plastic waste disrupt marine life. These urgent issues require decisive action to protect our oceans for future generations.
The Greencarrier Blue Initiative is dedicated to addressing this impact—a commitment to protecting our seas and promoting sustainability within the maritime sector. Through this initiative, we support projects and organisations focused on sustainability in the maritime industry and ocean conservation.

Key partner
The Perfect World Foundation and their Project Ocean
The Perfect World Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to protects our nature and animals in crisis. Through a series of initiatives, TPWF aims to preserve the earth’s biodiversity, both locally and globally. Since 2024, Greencarrier supports TPWF’s ‘Project Ocean’, with the aim of mitigating the negative effects human has on oceanic ecosystems through pollution, climate change and ghost nets.
